I think that a person's life is not determined before they are born, but where they are born into (city/town, country) and who they are born into (parents/relatives). For example, in the Middle Ages, if you were born into a noble family, it would be much easier to succeed then one who was born into a peasant family. Also, it's not just determined by what you were given at birth, but what you do with what you were given. Your decisions and your effort help determine your life. Good decisions and good effort will determine a good life.
For example, Steve Jobs went through several difficult obstacles in his life. He was put up for adoption, he naively applied to an expensive university he couldn't afford, and even got fired from his own company he created and started. Steve Jobs was in the worst position he could've been in.Did that mean he accepted what he was given and just gave up because everything went wrong? No, he put in all his effort and he created success with what he was given at that time, and from all his effort, he figured out that him dropping out of university and getting fired from his own company were the best things that happened to him. From him dropping out of university, he took courses he wanted to, thus leading to him creating beautiful typography in his Macs, and him getting fired lead him to create Pixar, which is now the most successful computer animation film studio in the world. As you can see, Steve Job's effort and decisions helped him shape is own life and destiny. If he didn't put his best in what he did, Steve Job's life path would be totally different from what it is today; we wouldn't have the iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc...
This just shows how you can make the best out of anything, as long as you try your best and only your best. Anyone can change their tars and achieve their dreams as long as he/she tries their best and just trusts that everything will work out as long as they are persistent and hard-working.

I actually agree , like it kind of does matter where you were born like if you were born in a poor town thats small then you arent going to be use to the big citys ! Right ? Yeah , and like I didn't know steve jobs was put up for adoption ! I thought since he was such a cool person making the iphone and stuff i thought he came from a rich family ! Good job :) i really liked yours ! Ahahaha
ReplyDeleteGreat job at giving a comparison between how Steve Jobs started off in the worst conditions then changed his starts, but would this specifically be possible the middle ages? Also I don't think that Steve Jobs could've changed his position back then as it took almost 500 years to gain this equality that we now have. Don't our stars also dictate where we will be born? So in other words you are saying that in present day where you are born has a strong influence of what you will become?
